Experiences of life change, loss, and transition can be hard. Whether it is moving to a new town, the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, the end of a significant relationship, or any inevitable human experience of emotional pain, Lee aims to help clients maximize their potential to live a rich and meaningful life. Lee has 11 years of experience working with adolescents, teens, young adults, and couples: 8 years in K-12 education as a middle school counselor, 2 years at a small private university as campus counselor , and 1 year at a large state supported university counseling center as a Clinical Counseling Associate. Lee has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UNC-Greensboro and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from East Carolina University.
Lee works with clients on living in the present, healing the past, and building the future they want. Lee has a trauma-informed approach and teach skills to help clients unhook from unpleasant thoughts, break destructive behavior patterns, clarify and live by personal values, and practice self-compassion.
Lee welcomes clients from all backgrounds and identities. Lee’s Christian faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ informs her practice. She is a mother of 4 children, ages 16-24. Her life experience includes infertility, adoption, relocation, divorce, single parenthood, remarriage, and blended family life with 2 grown step-children. Lee is a certified yoga instructor, enjoys reading, musical theater, traveling, outdoors, and spending time with family and pets. Lee aims to provide a safe space for you to explore personal concerns and struggles. She offers a client-centered approach focused on realizing human potential and supporting client discovery through empathetic, non-judgmental techniques.
