Sheconia Harris,
LCSWA

Sheconia has a passion for working with couples and families as well as children and teens.

She is strength focused, solution progressive and challenges cognitions on how things are perceived utilizing a holistic approach. She believes there will be growing pains through this process; yet we will do this as a team.

Sheconia has a passion for working with couples and marriages to support with ensuring a strong foundation; having lived experiences as a child of what a separation can do to a family unit.

She has experience working with children and families involved with foster care and adoptions, past and current traumatic experiences, sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, grief, stress, isolation, anger management, building self-efficacy, and building and rebuilding marriages and couples. She believes the culture of the family is the root to progression and understanding; while challenging those learned behaviors to develop new behaviors and outcomes.

She believes she is a walking ball of imperfection made perfect through grace. Authenticity is key to establishing a healthy relationship and that’s the environment that will be created with families; built on trust, atmosphere of safety and peace, and empowerment. Sheconia has a wonderful supportive daughter, fur baby, and family. She is apart of a dynamic Church that believes in the oneness of God. Sheconia enjoys reading, trying new things, watching a good action movie, and taking naps.
