Anasya Silver,

Anasya was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. She earned her B.A.Ed in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time at UNC, she served as an intern working with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Upon graduation, she moved to Greenville and earned her Masters in Counselor Education from East Carolina University.

She has experience working with individuals throughout the life span and with all manners of mental health diagnoses and external stressors especially past and current traumatic experiences, sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, grief, stress, life adjustments, anger management, and oppositional behavior.

Anasya operates from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model because she believes every aspect of a person’s identity is important to acknowledge during treatment. Her approach to therapy is grounded in person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, strengths-based, and Gestalt. Ultimately, she operates in an eclectic style for what best serves the particular individual. Anasya is straightforward and here to partner with you on your mental health journey. She believes in a collaborative approach to therapy between the therapist and individual to foster self-understanding, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. Trust and respect are core values of Anasya’s and she believes in fostering those in her therapeutic relationships. She seeks to connect with clients in a way that they feel seen, heard, and respected.

When Anasya isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby girl, and loveable dog. Her hobbies include fishing, traveling, cooking, and cheering on her Tar Heels!
