Anchor Family Therapy has provided me with an internship experience that has thoroughly prepared me for the counseling profession. The office environment is warm and welcoming with staff and therapists willing to assist in clinical and/or administrative tasks. At Anchor, I have been exposed to a variety of clients and guided through important concepts such as completing notes, diagnosing, and treatment planning.

Anchor Family Therapy is the absolute BEST place to be an intern! The supportive and encouraging supervisors and the friendly staff create a welcoming environment. Being a new intern can feel nerve-wracking, but they really make you feel apart of the AFT family! I appreciate the Christian atmosphere and the life-giving conversations that are a part of my daily experience. There’s also plenty of room for personal and professional growth, making it an ideal place to intern. I've had the opportunity to shadow several therapists, learning from their own counseling styles and gaining valuable insights from each of them. Additionally, I’ve managed my own caseload of clients, which has provided me with hands-on experience. Could not recommend AFT enough!

Being an intern at Anchor Family Therapy has been nothing short of amazing! From the beginning, I have received valuable support from supervisors, other interns, and administrative staff. Transitioning into the clinical practice was smooth, uplifting, and comforting. Working under the guidance of licensed therapists who want to share their knowledge of counseling with you, to help you become a high quality counselor is inestimable. This opportunity has allowed me to navigate many niches and gain experience in working with many populations. Being an intern at Anchor Family Therapy has been a huge blessing in the right direction of conquering my career goals.

Interning at Anchor was such a great opportunity! I learned so much information about how to be a clinician. I was able to learn from many providers that have a variety of niches and methods of counseling. It was such a blessing to be surrounded by Christian women that want to build you up and help you grow.
