Tayler Winstead is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) intern completing her graduate training through Walden University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Winston-Salem State University. She’s worked as a Recreational Therapist for 6 years with experience in substance use/dual-diagnosis and behavioral health in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Tayler is interested in working with men, women, young adults, teens, and children, particularly those navigating anxiety, constant worry, and life stressors.
She is passionate about helping individuals develop healthy coping strategies to manage what life throws their way and encouraging growth, change, and personal empowerment. Tayler enjoys incorporating creative expression modalities such as journaling and painting, along with mind-body approaches, including HeartMath techniques.
Tayler wants to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and encouraged to move forward at their own pace. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, bowling, painting, and trying new restaurants.
