Anna Godwin
CMHCA

Anna Godwin is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care through a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic approach. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and her Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy, with a minor in Psychology, from East Carolina University. With more than three years of experience in inpatient behavioral health, Anna has developed extensive experience supporting individuals through complex mental health challenges with clinical expertise and genuine empathy.

Anna believes that lasting healing occurs when clients feel deeply understood, emotionally safe, and empowered within the therapeutic relationship. She is passionate about helping individuals move beyond survival patterns by cultivating greater nervous system regulation, strengthening their capacity for resilience, and developing a deeper awareness of the connection between the mind, body, and emotions. Her approach is grounded in the belief that healing extends beyond changing thoughts alone—it also involves restoring a sense of safety, connection, and balance within the body.

Anna has a special interest in working with women, young adults, and children navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, and life transitions. She practices from a trauma-informed, attachment-focused perspective and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parts Work, and somatic interventions to create an individualized treatment experience. She has advanced training in Polyvagal Theory, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping, and HeartMath, allowing her to incorporate evidence-informed strategies that promote nervous system regulation, emotional flexibility, and sustainable healing.

Known for her warm, grounded presence, Anna strives to create a therapeutic experience that is both clinically sophisticated and deeply personalized, meeting each client with curiosity, authenticity, and respect while supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Outside of her clinical work, Anna enjoys painting, spending time at the beach, and making memories with family and friends. She also loves spending time with her goldendoodle, Boge.
